Dear Whatcom Republicans,
President Trump signed an Executive Order on January 20, 2025:
Yet radical Democrats running the Bellingham School District are continuing to push their agenda. Superintendent Greg Baker is using his position to politicize students against President Trump and this Executive Order. Despite the pushback from parents to end DEI, Greg continues to promote poor policies that distract students from learning. On February 7th, 2025, Greg Baker sent an email to students, staff and community, committing to protecting DEI programs. He also stated that "Staff are trained to support and respect each student's gender identity and expression, including their name, pronouns and any other accommodations they need." Unfortunately, the staff doesn't seem trained to report on crimes within the school despite their legal obligation to do so. According to Greg's letter, "Inclusion means creating environments where every student feels a sense of belonging, safety and respect, and where their unique needs and backgrounds are recognized and valued." Let's take a look down memory lane to see how Greg Baker and the Bellingham School District represent INCLUSION.

In late 2021, a student was sexually assaulted by another student. Greg Baker protected the perpetrator and the staff who failed to report, completely leaving the female student (and others) vulnerable to more sexual abuse. The student was eventually arrested but staff remained working. You would think that at least one of the mandatory reporters would have gone to jail for their crime, but instead, they were moved to another location within the district. None of them lost employment, none had penalties severe enough to have justice served for hiding a crime against a student. How do parents hold schools and staff accountable? We cannot wait until next year to get involved. We MUST get organized. Find the liberty-loving, child-protecting school board members and ally with them. If you can't find them, become one! Find like-minded parents to support educating the school boards on DEI issues. Students need their parents and grandparents, aunts and uncles, involved in our schools more than ever. Squalicum High students protest administrators accused of failing to report sexual assault
It is time to say NO MORE to people like Greg Baker running our schools. It's time to make public education about learning again. The best and brightest are built with a solid foundation. Support our children, get involved. Bring back mentorship programs and increase the opportunity for students to enter the work force skilled.
